La piel es el órgano más grande del cuerpo. Cuando está sana, nos protege de los riesgos químicos, físicos y biológicos. La piel pesa alrededor del 10% de nuestro peso corporal total y tiene un grosor aproximado de un octavo de pulgada. La piel está formada por dos capas, la epidermis (capa externa) y la dermis (capa interna).
