A couple of orange traffic cones are the only thing standing between this worker and the vehicles traveling at 45 mph in the intersection where this picture was taken. Not wearing a high-visibility vest adds insult to injury. The Moral: Protect workers in road and highway construction zones against motor vehicle traffic hazards. Appropriate measures may include:
