A visitor to a hospital was seriously injured when he was hit by a motor vehicle carrying laundry. The driver was backing up and did not see him. The victim died three days later during surgery. Motor vehicles and pedestrians are a hazardous combination. Drivers working in areas where members of the public are walking need to proceed with extreme caution.
