An Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) is a written workplace safety program that addresses hazards in the workplace. You may also see it called an Accident Prevention Program or something similar. The goal is the same – save lives, save money, and comply with regulations (in some areas an IIPP is required). There are certain elements common to most IIPPs. Use this self-assessment to check if your current IIPP is effective or to help you create and implement a new one. Edit and revise as needed.
