A man died after a fire burned through a Pomona home early Wednesday, officials said. The man, whose name has not been revealed by authorities, was pronounced dead at Nyack Hospital after flames tore through the house at 286 Quaker Road, Hillcrest Fire Chief Chris Bowers said. No information was immediately available from Haverstraw police or the Rockland County Sheriff's Office, which is investigating the fire.
