Cuando se trabaja al aire libre en climas fríos o se trabaja en ambientes artificialmente fríos, como las zonas refrigeradas, pueden producirse graves lesiones y enfermedades relacionadas con el frío. Los peligros relacionados con el frío pueden causar daños permanentes en los tejidos o incluso la muerte. Cuando el cuerpo es incapaz de calentarse, puede producirse un estrés relacionado con el frío. Cuatro factores contribuyentes:- Temperaturas del aire frío
- Movimiento aéreo de alta velocidad
- La humedad del aire
- El contacto con el agua fría o las superficies
