Electrical Box

Somebody had the bright idea of strapping on ice bags to cool this electrical panel box after breakers kept tripping. It shouldn’t take a physics degree to recognize the dangers of exposing electrical equipment to moisture.

The Moral: Keep electrical equipment away from water and make sure any panel boxes in damp or wet locations are covered and installed so as to prevent moisture from entering (OSHA, Wiring Methods, Components & Equipment for General Use, Sec. 1910.305(e)).
