Rick has been in the overhead crane and rigging industry for over 30 years. He started his career as a crane operator and then became an overhead crane technician, accumulating 10,000 hours. As a technician he had the great opportunity to travel all over North America, being trained directly by different overhead crane manufacturers.

Rick is currently the President & CEO of Cranemasters Hoisting + Rigging Training, which provides industry-leading crane and rigging training across western Canada.

He also participates in many technical committees and societies relating to Overhead Crane and Rigging. Rick’s relationships with crane and rigging manufacturers are part of his dedication to ensuring that information is relayed to customers efficiently, as well as being documented and supportable.

Rick has completed hundreds of customer site assessments and audits to help the clients become compliant, which has given him a strong background on where the industry is today.
