Restoration Company Cited For Multiple Willful, Serious and Repeat Violations

Fines totaling $134,000 have been proposed. OSHA issued three willful citations alleging that the company failed to provide its employees with adequate fall protection, safe access to scaffolding, and fully-planked work scaffolding. Four repeat citations were also issued. They allege failure to maintain a safety and health program; failure to erect scaffolding under the supervision of a competent person; failure to adequately train employees working on scaffolds; and extending scaffolding beyond 18 inches of supports. Serious citations allege hazards including failure to protect employees from head injuries due to falling objects, and allowing employees to place ladders on top of scaffolding.
