Hazcom Hazards

Tea in Hazardous Materials Closet

Thirsty? How about a nice jug of anti-freeze? As if this storing this poison in a commercial ice tea bottle isn’t dangerous enough, somebody took the extra pains to leave this tempting concoction at the front of the shelf within easy reach!

The Moral: Never keep hazardous chemicals in commercial beverage containers that invite drinking. On the contrary, make sure all containers of hazardous chemicals are marked with either a Hazcom or new GHS workplace label notifying workers about the product inside and the hazards it poses.
