Forklift Safety – Parking Picture This

This image shows a forklift parked improperly on a ramp or incline, with the forks elevated and workers dangerously close to the equipment. One worker is physically touching the forks, and another is standing in the fall zone. Elevated forks create a tipping hazard, and parking on a slope without proper precautions significantly increases the risk of rollback, crush injuries, or equipment damage.
When parking a forklift—especially on an incline—always lower the forks completely to the ground, engage the parking brake, and chock the wheels if necessary. Never allow workers to stand or work near raised forks, even if the vehicle is off. Reinforce training on forklift parking procedures and hazard zones around stationary equipment.
